This book is a powerful example of my belief that no matter how bad a situation you may be in, you can always gain power through writing. It is an incredibly tough book to read, not because it is complex, though it does take some getting used to reading the language used, but because of the situations and stories presented. It was assigned to me in a Women In Literature class, and I recommend it to anyone over the age of 16 *****
